CQ NRL Bid extends helping hand to Rockhampton Junior Rugby League Clubs disaffected by the floods

CQ NRL Bid today finalised the distribution of funds from the CQ NRL Bid Flood Fund, announcing donation of $16,000 made to Rockhampton Junior Rugby League Clubs and the Gemfields Junior Rugby League Club.
QR National have been instrumental in the rollout of the donations to disaffected rugby league clubs in Central Queensland, contributing $50,000 to the Fund set up by the CQ NRL Bid.
CQ NRL Bid CEO, Denis Keeffe today presented the Gracemere Cubs Junior Rugby League with a cheque for $5000 to assist with the regeneration of the club’s playing fields that were severely affected during the floods. The funds will also help the Gracemere Club to replace training equipment lost in the floods. The presentation was made this afternoon at the Gracemere Cubs makeshift training grounds at St.Paul’s School, Gracemere.
Financial donations from the CQ NRL Bid Flood Fund have been made to the Emerald McIndoe Park Facility ($10,000), Theodore JRL ($5000), Gracemere JRL ($5000), Norths JRL ($5000), Gemfields JRL ($2500), Rocky Tigers JRL ($2500), Bundaderg Easts Junior and Senior Rugby League Sides ($5000) and Fitzroy JRL ($1000)
The CQ NRL Bid, along with QR National has already distributed $36,000 to rugby league clubs across Central Queensland that have been disaffected by the floods. The remaining $14,000 from the Fund will be used to purchase Goal Post Pads for all of the disaffected clubs in the region.
