The program is shaping the lives of our future elite footballers and the coaching staff do a wonderful job.”
The CQ NRL Bid Junior Development Program will commence on 22nd September when
56 of the best U/13s & U/14s players from across the regions will gather at the Rockhampton Grammar School for a holistic development camp. From the camp 2 x 20- man squads will be selected for a South-East Tour including games against leading rugby league schools Marsden SHS (Brisbane) and Keebra Park SHS (Gold Coast).
Walson Carlos said that while it was a little disappointing that home games in 2012 had not come to fruition he was still hopeful of securing home games in early 2013.
“We were a fair way down the track with both Penrith juniors and Souths juniors and unfortunately we just couldn’t match up the dates to their liking. Home games will definitely happen in 2013, whether it be in the pre-season or after the season finishes and I’m certain these games will generate a lot of interest throughout CQ.”
